Especially for labor-intensive products, high labor costs can raise the price of an order but factory worker wages are just one part of the total cost of sourcing a product overseas.
You also need to consider material costs, taxes, fees, shipping and quality control costs. All these factors will affect how profitable it will be to manufacture your product in one location or another. 

Still now Bangladesh falls under third world country. It suffers from huge unemployment. Here the reality is that any entrepreneurs can be blessed by cheap labor. Again today our country is suffering from speedy urbanization. People are migrating from village to city. As a result, in the city areas wages are getting down. Our garment industry can take the advantage of cheap labor and become the most lucrative for the foreign buyers for their low priced garment products because of this cheap labor

Though the global market trend shows that price of apparel is going down and so the value in export but still Bangladesh’s export of garment items is on the rise 

The main strength for this business is available workforce. Labor cost is lowest in Bangladesh among the other competitors.

Skilled and relevant educated manpower is also increasing in this industry.  There is around 37 public & private university and colleges which are producing textile graduates. There are 6 government textile institutes for creating diploma engineers for this industry. There are also good numbers of private institutes and polytechnics are generating skilled manpower in every year for this sector.

As a Least Developed Country (LDC) Bangladesh is enjoying duty free market access or reduced tariff rate facilities for RMG export to many developed and developing countries in the world. Tax free facility in importing country is a great advantage for RMG exporters. Bangladesh is getting GSP (Generalized System of Preference) facilities in 38 countries including EU (28 Countries) and some other (10 countries) selected countries. EU countries are importing 90% of garments from Bangladesh. Buyers are planning to increase more sourcing of their target goods from Bangladesh.

Existing incentives have been modified and improved to make them more workable, like, Income Tax Rebate, Limit of Export Credit,   Utilization of Foreign Exchange, Tax Holiday. 

Cultural and language barriers can often cause complications when sourcing from overseas. But business-friendly policies can significantly improve your experience manufacturing abroad.
Bureaucratic procedures, excessive taxes and a lack of legal protections can all make importing more difficult, increase your sourcing costs and lengthen your lead times. 

consumers have become hyper sensitive to the way retailers manufacture their products regarding acceptable labor practices, health and safety standards, water consumption, waste disposal, treatment of wages, etc. For a brand to be associated with any of these unethical practices will have negative, sometimes irreversible effects on a brand’s reputation.

Extraordinary progress has been made in the five years since the 2013 Accord was signed and millions of workers now work in safer factories:

• The overall progress rate of remediation at the 1,620 Accord-covered factories is 85 per cent.
• The Accord has engaged with 2.4 million worker participants to share vital safety information in more than 1,000 factories.

Bangladesh’s garment factories also benefit materially, as buyers recognize that a factory that has completed its safety work presents far fewer risks for them.
